lymphoedema patients
“My legs and feet were very swollen as a result of having Lymphoedema and I had given up hope of the swelling ever reducing. However Gayle’s treatment has worked wonders and my legs are now a normal size. Thank you Gayle.”

“I was diagnosed with breast cancer aged 35 yrs old. Several years later I was diagnosed with Lymphoedema in my right arm. The after effects of the double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery proved to be minimal compared with the physical and psychological effects of the Lymphoedema. The condition has restricted my physical activities; it is painful; unsightly; limits choice of clothing and is difficult to come to terms with.
“For the past five years I have been receiving Manual Lymphatic Drainage treatment from Gayle, which has been invaluable. Although there is no cure for my condition, Gayle’s treatment has enabled me to continue with some physical activity. It has given me confidence that any immediate swelling can be managed and that the condition is not hopelessly untreatable. With regular treatment, we have kept the condition manageable to the extent that it can go unnoticed by other people. I feel comfortable wearing clothes on social occasions that reveal my arms without the use of support hosiery. Psychologically, this is priceless and life changing.”

Lipoedema patients
“I have had two surgeries to treat Lipoedema and I believe the speed and ease of recovery was much helped by Gayle.I saw Gayle for Manual Lymphatic Drainage prior to both surgeries in order to prepare the lymphatic system and have been having regular MLD sessions since. These have been absolutely amazing to relieve post-surgical pain and swelling and have been a huge benefit for my recovery.
“Gayle has a wealth of expertise when it comes to her industry and knows exactly how to provide treatment for the patient’s circumstances.
“Gayle is professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone with lipoedema or lymphoedema for skilled lymphatic drainage.”

“I started seeing Gayle for MLD while considering surgery for lipoedema and as I have relatively well controlled lymphoedema, I wanted to optimise my lymphatic health pre-surgery.
“She was welcoming and very informative giving me loads of advice and encouragement. At her suggestion I made an appointment with my vascular consultant who agreed with my surgery path and I went ahead.
“Since then I have been seeing Gayle for MLD and she has worked wonders with this and kinesiotaping, but also given great advice on compression and general lymphatic health. Her continued support and encouragement is fantastic, especially on days when having these conditions makes you truly fed up.
“Now I’ve revealed how good she is she will be even more booked up! That said, I thoroughly recommend her.”

“I had been feeling sluggish, tired and unable to lose weight for quite some time. I was also experiencing problems conceiving. I had recently had a knee operation and was concerned about the amount of swelling and fluid that had remained in my knee, making recovery slow. After reading an advertisement for MLD, I contacted Gayle in June 2007.
“I accessed a course of Manual Lymphatic Drainage therapy and after examining my legs, Gayle suggested that it was likely that I had Lipoedema. This would explain why I had been unable to lose weight particularly around my upper legs.
“A consultant specialising in Lymphoedema, Lipoedema and dermatological medicine subsequently confirmed this. He explained that Lipoedema is a poorly understood condition to which dieting makes no difference whatsoever. There is also a high incidence of knee problems affecting people with Lipoedema.
“MLD is currently the only treatment that will relieve my symptoms and I have found it to be very helpful. It relieved all of the symptoms related to the Lipoedema and I began to feel less tired and sluggish. After seeing Gayle for around five months, I became pregnant and also feel that the course of MLD therapy contributed to this. We now have a lovely daughter who was born in July 2008.”

cosmetic surgery patients
“My experience with Gayle has been very positive. She is a delightful person, very kind and sympathetic - just what I needed after the operation. I was very sceptical and indeed negative about going to see her three days after my operation, but in retrospect, it was good for me both physically and psychologically.
“For the first two or three sessions I could tell that she was stimulating the flow of ‘something’ as I continuously needed to pass urine afterwards. Following the ‘bringing out’ of the bruising, I was amazed at the rapid progress of its fading. After just seven treatments in two weeks my swelling and scarring had virtually gone. The treatment is gentle and relaxing. I am convinced that MLD helped my speedy recovery from the very severe bruising and swelling I experienced as a result of the operation.”

“Some 18 months after removal of the lymph glands, I was diagnosed with Lymphoedema. The NHS regional Lymphoedema clinic was helpful in some ways but does not carryout Manual Lymphatic Drainage. After making enquiries, I was put in touch with Gayle who is a DR Vodder qualified MLD therapist.
“Treatment with Gayle has been very successful in containing and controlling my lymph-swollen limb. I have been very pleased both with the results and also with the very friendly and homely atmosphere Gayle offers. I do positively recommend her.”

kinesiotaping patients
“When rushing to go out, I hit myself in the face with the corner of the car door giving myself a 4 cm cut across my right cheekbone that needed seven stitches. Unfortunately, I have hypermobility syndrome, a genetic condition causing stretchy collagen that, among other things, gives me an increased tendency for raised keloid scarring.
“I’m not particularly vain but the prospect of a big scar in the middle of my face was enormously upsetting. Luckily, I knew someone who had been treated by Gayle for Lymphoedema and was told that she could also minimise scarring and encourage healing through Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
“Gayle performed MLD on my face and neck, focusing on the scar, and using Kinesio tape over the scar to continue massaging it between appointments. I noticed a difference after the first treatment. I’m certain that without the MLD I would have ended up with an unsightly raised scar. But after the course of treatments over 10 days it healed remarkably well and I was left with just a flat pink line that was already starting to fade back to normal skin Colour.”

rejuvanessence patients
“People always comment on how well I look. So what is my secret? In a word, Gayle or rather, her magic fingers. I have been a client of Gayle’s for almost twenty years and, as a result, I definitely don’t look 75!
“In 2002, Gayle discovered the most amazing holistic facial toning treatment, Rejuvanessence. Since then I have been hooked! Rejuvanessence is the gentlest and most incredibly relaxing treatment I have tried. It lifts and tones the muscles of my face & neck, keeping my face looking fresh and alive. I always leave Gayle feeling so relaxed, nurtured and yet revitalised, which is why I go back and see her for my Rejuvanessence every 3 weeks. I really recommend it!”
