Manual lymphatic drainage

what is manual lymphatic drainage?

Manual Lymphatic Drainage harnesses the power of gentle, rhythmic massage to stimulate the lymphatic system. By manipulating the skin with precision and care, this method promotes the flow of fluid and toxins, accelerating recovery and facilitating the drainage of built-up fluids.

But the benefits of Manual Lymphatic Drainage extend far beyond just physical drainage. This soothing, therapeutic approach can have a profound impact on the entire body, supporting its innate ability to heal, revitalise and thrive. Through its unique capacity to stimulate the lymphatic system, Manual Lymphatic Drainage can help to boost the immune system, reduce inflammation, and enhance overall wellbeing.

Whether you're seeking relief from swelling, recovering from an injury, or simply looking to enhance your body's natural rejuvenation processes, Manual Lymphatic Drainage offers a gentle, effective solution. Experience the transformative power of this holistic therapy and unlock your body's full potential for healing and vitality.

Management of Lymphoedema

Although Lymphoedema is not curable, the condition can be managed by an intensive course of Combined Decongestive Therapy. This usually includes Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) therapy and/or Bandaging.

Once the condition is brought under control in this way, it can be maintained with a combination of skin care, exercise, simple lymphatic drainage, MLD and hosiery - some of which may be available through the NHS.

Initial evaluation £120 - 1hr appointment
Follow-up treatment sessions from £85 (1hr). A personalised plan will be discussed with you in your initial consultation appointment. Treatments requiring bandaging £95 (1hr).
